Our Classes

With classes beginning for children as young as 20 months, there is a program that is perfect for everyone.  At Royal City Cooperative Preschool, your children will be exposed to a quality, caring environment that is a perfect start to their educational years!

​

The daily program in each class is designed to meet the developing and maturing needs of the children as they progress from solitary play to an awareness of other children and on to a desire to cooperate with them in play.

Each day includes free play, circle, songs, stories, calendar, crafts and outside play.  Children are able to participate in dramatic play, tactile activities, a reading corner, puzzles and games, blocks and vehicles, and a science table.

Field trips and other special events are planned throughout the school year to enhance the children’s experience.

** Please note that we DO NOT offer full-day/full-time childcare, or supervision over the lunch hour.**

Toddler Class: 

  • Tuesday/Thursday 9:00am-11:30am

  • Designed for our youngest preschoolers, aged 20-30 months old (born in 2021/early 2022)

  • 10 spaces, 2 teachers (5:1 ratio) plus bonus Assistant Teacher shared with the T /TH AM Preschool Class

*For 2024-2025 school year, this class is designed for children born in 2022/early 2023*

​AM Preschool Class

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday  9:00am-11:45am

  • Designed for young preschoolers aged 30-36 months (born in 2020 or early 2021), with up to 4 spaces available for children aged 24-30 months

  • 18 spaces total, 3 teachers (6:1 ratio)

*For 2024-2025 school year, this class is designed for children born in 2021/early 2022*

AM Preschool Class

  • Tuesday/Thursday  9:00am-11:45am

  • Designed for young preschoolers aged 30-36 months (born in 2020 or early 2021), with up to 2 spaces available for children aged 24-30 months

  • 8 spaces total, 1 teacher (8:1 ratio) plus bonus Assistant Teacher shared with the toddler class

*For 2024-2025 school year, this class is designed for children born in 2021/early 2022*

PM Preschool Class:  

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm

  • Designed for children who will be eligible for JK the following year (born in 2020)

  • 16 spaces, 2 teachers (8:1 ratio) plus bonus Assistant Teacher

*For 2024-2025 school year, this class is designed for children born in 2021*

 

PM Preschool Class:  

  • Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm-4:00pm

  • Designed for children who will be eligible for JK the following year (born in 2020)

  • 16 spaces, 2 teachers (8:1 ratio) plus bonus Assistant Teach
